Frequently Asked Questions 1. Do You Have Nutritional Facts? The nutritional information is based upon an analysis provided by Michelson Laboratories, and information furnished by our suppliers and the United States Department of Agriculture. The information is also based upon standard product formulations and recipes; however, variations can occur due to product assembly at the restaurant level, serving sizes and proportions, the addition or deletion of seasonings or condiments by the customer, seasonal variations in ingredients, and variations occurring in the manufacture of ingredients or as a result of using alternate suppliers. The nutritional information is intended as a guide only, and should not be relied upon to provide actual data for a particular item produced or served to the customer. Original Tommy's is owned by the family of our founder Tommy Koulax. We do not license or sell franchises of our chili burger concept. 3. Why Don't You Give Free Drink Refills In All Of Your Restaurants? Original Tommy's restaurants built recently in the new prototype style do allow free drink refills at a self-serve drink station. Our older units do not have proper equipment for dispensing refills correctly per Health Dept. codes. Hence, the only free refill is iced tea at this time. 4. Can You Send Me A Tommy Burger In The Mail? We cannot ship hamburgers due to quality concerns. We can freeze a quantity of our original recipe chili and ship it to you by overnight express. We will also give you directions to prepare your very own Tommy's burger at home. Please call us at 818-240-0019 for more details. 5. What Is In Your Chili? The chili recipe at Original Tommy's was started by Tommy Koulax at our landmark restaurant in Los Angeles in 1946. It is comprised of an all beef chili con carne base, water, flour, and a special "secret" blend of spices for that great flavor. 6. Can You Place A Tommy's Restaurant In My Area? The expansion of Original Tommy's Hamburger chain is slow and controlled. Our primary concern in the success of each of our new restaurants is in meeting our customers' expectations in quality of food, service and value. Current plans are for two new units annually in the Southern California area. 7. When Are You Coming To San Diego? We are currently looking in the San Diego area for the expansion of Original Tommy's. We have not yet found an appropriate site, but hopefully, we will do so in the near future. 8. When Are You Coming To Las Vegas? We have no immediate plans to bring Original Tommy's to Las Vegas, but we will do so sometime in the future. For now, please plan to visit our restaurant in Barstow, Calif. At the Lynwood Road exit of Hwy. 15. 9. When Are You Coming To Arizona? No plans yet for Original Tommy's to come to Phoenix, Tucson and other great cities in Arizona, but hopefully, we will do so within the next few years. 10. When Are You Coming To The San Francisco Bay Area? Our expansion plans are centered in the Southern Calif. Area for now. But we do appreciate our many fans in the S.F. Bay area and we look forward to bringing our famous chiliburgers to you sometime in the future.
